The mansion in Los Angeles was built in 1980 by Aaron Spelling and among those who lived in this immense Californian residence is Petra Ecclestone, daughter of Bernie Ecclestone, former Formula One boss, who in 2011 purchased the manor for $85 million.
Resold a few years later, to a still unknown bidder, for over $120 million, the mansion in Holmby Hills, one of the most elegant and expensive neighborhoods in Los Angeles, has become the highest-priced villa in the State of California, generating a capital gain of over $35 million for Petra.
# The fairytale Louis XIV-style staircase
The Manor is inspired by the castles of the Loire Valley in France and all their splendor, in full classical Parisian style of Louis XIV. The foyer features a sweeping staircase made of marble and wrought iron, which many celebrities walked over through the years. The furnishings recall the classic Parisian style of Louis XIV.
The luxurious villa is also known as Candyland, in memory of Aaron Spelling’s wife, Candy, for whom the producer bought it in 1991.

The property covers a surface of about 5,200 square meters (56,000 square ft), has 123 rooms which include, at the request of the daughter of the former Formula One chief executive, a disco in the basement and several tanks of exotic fish, which did not belong to the initial project but were added later at the wish of Petra herself.
It goes without saying that there are also a huge swimming pool, a spa and a tennis court, but the most peculiar feature is the hairdressing salon.
