When you read this title, you’ll probably already imagine yourself entering a huge room. Surprisingly, reality is different. This bar is an open-air one, drawn up in between the woods and meadows of Sweden. Here, visitors could mix natural products, by theirselves and after having harvested those in person. Nothing new, as something similar has been already organized for eating.
Wandering around in the nature, doing activities such as picking berries, mushrooms and other various natural ingredients, is in Sweden a right ruled in the Constitution. With such a possibility as a starting point, it’s easy imagine an activity like that. Then, expert bartenders will make their art available behind outdoors counters, in some of the most evocative corners of the country. That way, customers will be able to compose the cocktail they prefer. If the base is non-alcoholic, alcohol could of course be added upon request.
The 450 square km of the Scandinavian country fit perfectly into the shape of the Drinkable Country. This new initiative follows the successful experience of the Edible Country. First, it came the gourmet restaurant located in pristine woods; and, now the bar relaunches the freedom granted by Sweden to attract tourists who love nature in all its nuances. So, just go there and camp in a forest. Or, even, cruise to one of the many semi-deserted islands.
Everywhere where there is a counter of the Drinkable Country. You may look on what nature has to offer, under the expert guidance of the barman. They would advise you, season by season, about the best ingredients to savor unique mixes, with very fresh and genuine ingredients.
The Stockholm archipelago, Dalarna, Gävleborg, Sörmland, Värmland, Västsverige, Småland, Halland, Skåne and Gotland are just some of the 20 locations where is a Drinkable Country counter. Obviously it will be possible to consume ready-to eat products and enjoy some typical delicacies of the area. Yet, the real attraction remains the fruits, flowers and all that is edible of the Scandinavian flora.
