The Iron Fist of Governments

From one side the governments are heartless and willing to suppress the protest by all means, on the other side the citizens demonstrate humanity and community spirit

For several days we have been observing the massive protest of truckers in Canada that, started by a small group, has flared up to huge numbers with a large part of the public supporting the protests against the impositions of the Canadian health regime.

The images of citizens carrying fuel cans to support the truckers to whom the government has cut off supplies is having visibility all over the world. And, although the government has planned the prison to punish those who helps the protesters, thousands of people keep on supplying the fuel needed to warm them in the Canadian climate, in order to prevent the truck drivers from being the victims of frost.

Once again, it is clear that from one side the governments are heartless and willing to suppress protest by any means, and on the other hand, citizens are showing humanity and a spirit of community.

But, is it a correct behaviour that the governments, as for example it has been happening for some time now in Italy, against the popular protests automatically put in place quite often over reactions, to affirm their vision in any case above all criticism?

What is going on behind the political scenes is becoming more and more evident. The priority of those who run the countries, is to defend their power.

The primary purpose of a government is to win against any form of protest and to deny any kind of mistake that they may have done.

My name is Laura and I live in Italy with my husband, 2 gorgeous daughters and Spritz…our little dog…he is part of the family too :-) As a mum I try to be the best example for my daughters, we like to spend time together and we share a passion: we love playing the piano! They know I am always there for them and can talk about anything – this is one of things in my life I am so proud of. I am a very strong woman who works professionally with a positive approach and mindset and never gives up. I am also very detailed oriented (thanks also to my criminology degree back at the Uni) and like helping others and guide them to a more positive lifestyle-approach and support them through difficulties. I like challenges and I am always keen on learning and improve myself. I believe this is the reason why I am so excited about this new adventure with the group!
