Basically when you think of a skyscraper, you imagine huge imposing buildings, with a very modern style, with floors and floors of offices and business men and women who run after deadlines and commitments.
But what if we told you instead that in 2024 a skyscraper will be inaugurated whose project foresees that it merges with the surrounding nature?

# The Sun Tower: the latest revolution in contemporary architecture
We are talking about the “Sun Tower”, an architectural project of Open Architecture that will rise on the coast of the Yellow Sea of the Chinese city of Yantai. The project aims to create and represent the dialogue between the elements of nature and the rapidly developing city.
The skyscraper will be 50 meters high, will have a curvilinear structure in white concrete, supported by horizontal slabs and ramps, studied and designed to function as a sundial. In addition to marking the hours, the sun tower will also be able to mark the seasons: in the square where it will rise, a water channel will be designed that will cut the square and it will be the straight line that the shadow of the building will follow during the equinox day.
By creating shadows and plays of light, it will also act as a sound collector, gather and amplifying the sounds of the sea.
# The Sun Tower: theater, shows and a rainwater pool
Built in a large, gently sloping space, the concave inner shell created by the two curvilinear walls will house a theater, an exhibition hall, a library and an observation deck. But the services offered by the structure do not end there: the skyscraper will allow you to live a unique experience in contact with nature, which will surround the guest right inside the building.
A skylight is even provided on the roof, which will allow the Tower to capture rainwater, which will flow into a swimming pool located inside the building. Swimming pool that in winter will be kept dry to be able to transform it into a fireplace.
The Sun Tower is an architectural project that perfectly represents the technological evolution of recent times and at the same time honors the beauty and power of nature.
