Long-distance train travel site Seat61.com has put together one leg after leg of an incredible train journey: it will be the longest journey in the world with just one ticket. The departure is from Lagos, in the Algarve region, the southernmost area of Portugal and thanks to an interlocking of several railway lines it will arrive in Singapore crossing the heart of Europe covering 18,755 kilometers. The ticket price should range between 1,000 and 1,755 euros.

After Portugal we will pass through Spain, France, Poland, Belarus, then through Moscow, Mongolia and Beijing, meeting completely different landscapes and cultures. From China, the journey will continue to the capital of Laos, thanks to the inauguration in December 2021 of a new railway section, then Bangkok to Singapore. Travelers will need to stay one night in Lisbon, Madrid and Paris and 2 nights in Moscow and Beijing for paperwork. In total, 13 countries will be crossed in 21 days and in some cases you will have to move to different stations in the city of arrival to continue to the next destination.
