In the summer waters of the Lule River and the expanse of winter ice, there is a hotel that seems a tree house on the water. A sort of tangle of branches and trunks that floats. In fact, because of its location, this is one of the most particular hotels that can be found in the world and in which you can live a unique experience.

One of the most spectacular hotels in the world was opened just two years ago. In January 2020, in fact, in the town of Harads, in Swedish Lapland, Arctic Bath was inaugurated. In the hotel you can admire the Northern Lights. Designed by the same architects of Tree Hotel, where the accommodations are tree houses, the Arctic Bath is a large circular structure: in the center there is a natural pool, perfect for the one who want watching the sun at midnight and the northern lights. Furthermore, depending on the temperature, in the hotel saunas you can choose whether to take a cool bath or a warm one, maybe under a starry sky.

The hotel is entirely eco-friendly, it has been made with local materials and is connected to the mainland by a wooden walkway. The offer of Arctic Bath is complete, the staff has thought of everything. The hotel is about 85 kilometers from Luleå, where there is a station and an airport, but for those who want to try the experience of Arctic Bath there is no problem on how to reach it, because the hotel organizes transfers.

Once arrived, the staff offers different accommodation solutions. You can choose to stay in stilted cabins of 62 square meters for 5 people on the banks of the river, or in a Suite for two people, otherwise you could stay in the Water solution, or in a 24 square meters water chalet with double bed.

#A place where you never get bored

While enjoying the Northern Lights, the Arctic Hotel offers various activities including yoga, meditation, ice fishing, paddle fishing, safari, snow biking, bear watching and cross-country skiing. In short, it’s a place where you never get bored. The price? A room costs  9600 sek (about 900 euros) but transfers to and from Luleå airport are extra.
