How many times have you said or heard “What a pity! They gave us the room that does not overlook the sea” or “it is a beautiful house that but it overlooks an avenue”?

The architect David Fisher seems to have found the solution to this problem: a skyscraper that moves where the apartments rotate during the day.

Don’t like the view? Wait a few minutes and it will be different.

Let’s see together this futuristic building that will make your head spin.

We are in Dubai (where else?), this is where the best example of Dynamic Architecture is found: a skyscraper that moves completely.

It is called Dynamic Tower and is a 420-meter tower designed by the Italian-Israeli architect David Fisher; like many other projects, it was supposed to be completed in 2020 but was slowed down due to the pandemic.

Its peculiarity? It is the first skyscraper in the world that moves.

Thanks to the exploitation of solar and wind energy, the skyscraper will be self-sufficient from an energy point of view, another example of unbridled modernity combined with eco-sustainability.

For the realization of the sections Fisher plans to use a big amount of aluminum, steel and carbon fiber, which will give the skyscraper a great seismic resistance.

Thanks to these characteristics, the apartments can be built with less manpower than traditional buildings and in a shorter time than 30%.

The idea of this rotating building is based on innovative technologies: each floor of the tower is a set of prefabricated modules that are built within factories with industrial-type processes.

To sum up: each floor will arrive at the construction site practically ready to be inhabited. The modules, already made according to the wishes of the lucky customers, will be assembled together, superimposed on each other and hooked to the reinforced concrete supporting structure that contains the structure that allows rotation.

How many times have you said or heard “What a pity! They gave us the room that does not overlook the sea” or “it is a beautiful house that but it overlooks an avenue”?

David Fisher has found the solution to this problem, the moving skyscraper has a secret.

It will not be the whole structure that moves all together but each apartment individually independently, as in a spiral.

Every minute each apartment moves 6 meters making a complete turn in 3 hours and the rest is easy: you don’t like the view? Wait a few minutes and it will be different.

At any time you can decide whether to choose the panorama you want or let the slow turn to offer a view that is always different.

# A luxury to make your head spin

Inside the revolving tower there will be a six-star hotel, offices and several apartments.

The top floors will be reserved for five villas of 1,500 square meters each. Each villa will have a parking space on its own floor served by a special lift and just to not  miss anything on the roof there will be a swimming pool and a garden.

To allow faster access to the residence, the Tower will also be equipped with a retractable platform to land helicopters on the 64th floor level.

But how much will it cost to live in a Dynamic Tower apartment? The hypotheses are figures to make your head spin: for each apartment it could reach up to 30 million dollars.

Sounds like an exaggerated price? Watch the video and let us know what you think!
