In the world there are houses in the shape of anything. Yet this project beats them all. Let’s find out this crazy idea together.
The new concept: the MUSSEL-shaped HOUSES
# The Shell House: cottages for families
The Odessa-based architecture and interior design studio K&B Partners, led by Kovtun Yuri and Burakov Egor, designed the “Shell House”.
The idea of these houses is to create a sort of recreational center designed for families, whether they are small in number but also made up of 4 or more people.
The house is mainly made of wood, both in the base of the structure and in the decoration.
The whole complex will have a size of about 20,000 square meters, creating a world of its own where you can live in peace.
These original shaped houses are in fact meant to be built near the sea in Koblevo, in the Mykolaiv region of Ukraine. And what shape should the houses be made of if they are close to the sea? In the shape of a shell!
# A very special shell
When we think of a shell-shaped house, our minds go to those large white shells from which you can hear the echo of the sea, yet these houses do not remember that type of shell at all.
The design of these new houses was in fact inspired by the mussel, a very common mollusk in the area.
Construction is scheduled to be completed in the spring of 2023.
There is not much information on the architectural firm’s website yet, yet these mussel-shaped houses are already making the rounds of social media.
